KB0022 – Creating a Home Screen shortcut from Safari (iOS 7)

What is this for ?
It is possible to access a web page from your “Home Screen” in the same way you would open an App.  This tutorial takes you through the necessary steps.

1. Navigate to the page you wish to create a bookmark for. Then tap the Options icon near the address bar. You can then tap Add to Home Screen

2. Choose the name the icon will have on the Home screen, and tap Add to confirm.

Tap save when you have chosen a name for the shortcut.

3. You will be taken back to the Home screen, and your shortcut will appear alongside your apps. It can be moved and placed in folders just like a normal app, but when tapped, it will open the webpage in Safari.
