KB0028 – Download an app (iOS 7)

What is this for ?
Just like a normal computer uses applications, iPads use what are called “Apps”.  These are programs that you download from the “App Store”.  Follow these instructions to find out how.

1. Open the App store app

2. Tap the Search bar (1) in the top right corner to search for the app you wish to download. In this example it is Adobe Reader. Tap Search (2) to confirm your search.

3. Locate the application you were searching for. Tap on Free or the price and then tap the icon (which now reads Install App) a second time to confirm that you wish to download it. If the app has a price, performing this action will bill your iTunes account.

4. Enter your Apple ID password (1), and tap OK (2). Click here if you can’t remember your password

Type in your password, and tap OK.

5. The app will now begin to download. You can watch its progress indicated by a translucent sector diagram on the app.
